The message can be ignored by most customers. vCloud generates a unique certificate for each Organization that can be used in conjunction with authentication/authorization federation services. That default certificate is created when the vCloud organization is created and expires after 1 calendar year. For most customers that have vCloud access, they never see or know about this since the email address is not filled in. However, if an organization administrator has their email address filled in, vCloud sends this annual notification.
Resolution
If vCloud Federation is not being used, this alert can be ignored. Alternately, the Certificate can be regenerated in vCloud under the Administration tab. Select “Federation” under Settings, then click the “Regenerate” button.
